The Bare Bones Of Dating, Relationships, Sex, Fashion And Lifestyle

By Michael Stagliano @MichaelStag · On March 3, 2014

Readers,

OHHHHH Hello.

SO excited to be writing this months blog! I hope it has been a good 4 weeks for all of you, and as always, thanks for stopping by to give this little bloggy blog a read.

Let’s dive in, shall we?

This month I thought I would bring it back to roots. The bare bones. The essence of Eligible Magazine if I may be so bold:

Dating, Relationships, Sex, Fashion and Lifestyle.

Check it out:

DATING

Geek-Dating

You can check my first Blog for some Bachelor “Do’s and Dont’s” for the dating world. But, I want to give you an additional sentence or two about your dating mentality. If you are a guy or a girl: being honest about your dating history and your expectations is hard to do! Right!? We want to put our best foot forward, keep some skeletons in the closet…etc.  But, I think in the dating world, honesty can be refreshing, and it shows confidence. Look… don’t go talking about babies and spill your deepest darkest secrets.  But be willing to talk about your past. Tell a girl/guy that you ARE looking for something serious… OR that you are NOT!  That you just want to have fun, keep things casual and enjoy someones company.  It is HARD to be honest.  Usually what is hard in life, is also right.

RELATIONSHIPS

I’m in one!  A serious one!  I get married in 3 months. BANANAS!  I have also had 3 long term girlfriends before I found the right one.  Here is my advice. Take time to show love. Every day.  Not once a week, not every couple of days.  Be it a text, or a love note, or an email, or candles in the shower, or flowers… there are LOTS of things you can do.  And taking time to let the other person know you are thinking about them, and that you care for them, and think they are important. It’s the bread and butter that holds a couple together or pushes them a part.

SEX

sex

The big S!  Ohhhhhh…Look. I think sex is like bowling. The lights are dim. You don’t want to be bad and end up in the gutter. You desperately want that explosive STRIKE at the end. You’re a little out of your comfort zone. A lot of time drinking is involved.  I think the majority of people need to re-work what they THINK about sex.  You’re a dude or a chick and the other person in the room is a dude or a chick.  It’s not quantum physics. Kiss more than you think you should, be a good combination of selfish and thoughtful and HAVE FUN.  If you’re making love, awesome! Go slower. If you are having fun, awesome! Try new stuff.  If you are afraid of it… DON’T BE.  It just two humans dancing while they are laying down.

FASHION

Fashion-Ad-1-Midtown

The F-word for guys, and the wallet buster for girls.  Men… if you don’t think about what clothes you are wearing, if you ONLY get clothes on birthdays or Christmas, or if you only wear jeans… You need help with fashion.  I have two fixes: 1. Trunk Club. 2. Watch: Crazy, Stupid, Love…and go buy whatever Ryan Gosling is wearing.  WOMEN!  Just don’t over do it.  Usually, less is more.  Half the time it seems like women are dressing up to impress other women…and frankly, us dudes don’t get it.  Accessories, Make-up, Shoes…all that stuff.  DON’T OVER DO IT!

LIFESTYLE

Social-circle1-e1330476365767

What is your lifestyle? Have you even considered that?  Are you are a worrier? Are you organized? Are you a hard worker? Are you selfless? Are you successful? Are you confident? Do you have friends? Do you like your living situation?

I think it is easy to let life pass us by.  REALLY EASY.  Certainly it is easy to waste a day, and sometimes that is a good thing.  But I think people waste weeks, months…even YEARS of their life.  WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR!?!?  What are you doing on this planet? SERIOUSLY!? YOU!! As you read this, what are you doing with you life? What are you afraid of?  STOP IT! Go fail at something, learn from it…and start succeeding.  2014 is 1/4 of the way OVER!  Make your life have style!  THAT is a lifestyle worth living.

Much love from my computer to yours.

Kind of cool how that keeps us connected, huh?

Hope this finds you well.

Michael Stagliano

Loved by fans all over the world for his blue-eyed soul vocals, freewheeling melodies, and earthy charm, singer, songwriter, and entertainer Michael Stagliano has enjoyed success and notoriety since breaking through in 2009 on ABC's reality television franchise, The Bachelorette. Although he didn't get the girl, Michael won the hearts of fans and returned on Bachelor Pad 2 (Summer 2011) only to have his heart crushed on national television yet again. Deciding it was a good time to share his passion for music and performing, Michael toured the continent showcasing his original acoustic music and in July 2013 released his self-titled debut EP album. Michael has instantly established himself as more than 'just another guy on television' and is recently engaged to the love of his life.
